Here is how to make it safe for towing:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Raise the rear of the car safely using jack stands.&lt;br /&gt;
* Remove two bolts from the universal joint (U-joint), located closer to the middle of the car. Use a 13mm socket.&lt;br /&gt;
* Disconnect the driveshaft from the differential by removing 3 bolts at the rear flex disc. Use a Torx T60 socket and counter-hold with an 18mm wrench.&lt;br /&gt;
* Slide the driveshaft forward slightly to disengage it from the differential.&lt;br /&gt;
* Secure the driveshaft away from the driveshaft (e.g., strap it to the exhaust).&lt;br /&gt;
